I have over 20 years of experience treating complicated musculoskeletal issues of the spine and extremities in patients of all ages. I have trained with experts from Canada, Australia, and the United States, in order to learn the best of each country's approach to treatment.
I treat individuals one-on-one, because I believe there is no substitute for time spent directly with a person to learn how to best help them.
My treatment approach includes the use of education, personalized active exercise, gentle hands-on techniques to improve movement and reduce pain. When required, I use acupuncture for control of pain.
I treat patients in a quiet office, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
Every effort is made to make patients feel welcome and that their needs are being met.
Conditions that respond well to physiotherapy include headaches, neck and low back pain, shoulder issues, sports injuries, and many others.
My practice focuses on patients with complicated musculoskeletal disorders of the spine and extremities, and my patients include a wide cross section of people from the surrounding community. They include athletic kids, active seniors and everyone in between. I am also a physiotherapy provider to the members of the Canadian Forces at Base Borden. I have worked with local athletic groups including the Trojan Swim Club, Barrie Baydogs Triathlon Club and Dragon Boat Barrie.
My treatment approach focuses heavily on educating patients about the reasons for their ongoing pain and giving them the tools to help themselves. Hands-on manual therapy treatment and personally-tailored active exercise feature prominently in my treatment approach. This broad based method allows me to help you improve mobility, strength and function, as well address the altered beliefs and thought processes that often accompany pain and injury.
I believe in communicating effectively with your other health care professionals, and do so frequently to ensure optimal results.
